Lead Software Developer

The role will suit enthusiastic technologists with pre-existing experience working for an innovative business, those with a passion for building SaaS applications and expertise to build scalable cloud-based platforms.

Our platform is built on AWS with various services, the majority of the backend is written in C# .NET 6 with a React front-end. As Senior Back-End Developer at StoreBoost, you will be responsible for the server side code and APIs of our web applications. You will be involved in the entire product development lifecycle including the design, development, deployment and maintenance of new and existing features. Your work will impact the stability and quality of our web applications. You will work closely with our development team to ensure system consistency and to create a great user experience.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Lead and manage development of our software platform to deliver high- quality software products

  • Develop and maintain software applications using modern technologies including C#, AWS, Docker

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, design, and QA to deliver end-to-end software solutions

  • Ensure adherence to software development best practices, coding standards, testing and security guidelines

  • Perform code reviews, identify and resolve technical issues, and provide guidance to other team members

  • Create technical documentation and diagrams to communicate architecture and design decisions

  • Track and report project progress to stakeholders and provide regular updates on project status, risks, and issues

  • Participate in the recruitment process, mentor and train new team members, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends

Requirements

​

  • 7+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role

  • Proven experience in architecting complex applications and custom web application development

  • Proven experience of requirements gathering and translating requirements into technical deliveries

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and manage teams to deliver successful projects

  • Expertise in modern technologies including C#, AWS, Docker

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues

  • Strong experience with SaaS architecture, including multi-tenancy,

    scalability, and security

  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Git, CircleCI, Sentry

  • Experience with microservices architecture

  • Experience with relational database technologies such as AWS Aurora

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
